Scripture

Romans 10:13–15

“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How can they call on Him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things!

Reflection

Paul reminds us that people don’t come to faith in a vacuum. Someone speaks. Someone invites. Someone shares the hope they’ve found. That’s how belief begins.

God could make Himself known in countless ways, yet He chooses us — ordinary people with imperfect words — to carry extraordinary news.

John the Baptist did it in the wilderness. The early church did it in homes, markets, and streets. Today we do it through conversations, invitations, and honest stories about what Jesus has done in our lives.

Christmas gives us a natural chance to do this. People are open. They’re searching. Some are quietly praying for a sign or for an answer. Your voice, your invitation, might be the very thing they’re waiting for.

Application

Look at the names on your Prayer Wish List card or think of one or two people who came to mind this week.

Ask yourself:

  • Who can I invite to church this Christmas?
  • Who needs to hear a simple piece of my testimony?
  • Where can I bring hope into someone’s “wilderness”?

You don’t need perfect words. You just need to care enough to try. God handles the rest.

Prayer

Father, thank You for trusting me with the good news of Jesus. Give me boldness to invite, clarity when I speak, and compassion for the people You’ve placed in my life. Prepare their hearts to hear. Let my steps be “beautiful” because they lead someone closer to You. Amen.
