Scripture

Ecclesiastes 4:9–10

“Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their efforts. For if either falls, his companion can lift him up.”

Reflection

Christmas was never meant to be experienced alone. From the very beginning, God gathered people around the birth of Jesus — priests and prophets, mothers and fathers, shepherds and wise men. People who would never normally cross paths were brought together by the arrival of the Savior.

Moments shared with others shape us. They remind us we’re not meant to walk through life on our own. Around tables, in living rooms, at church, or even in simple conversations, God uses togetherness to encourage hearts and strengthen faith.

Some of the most meaningful moments aren’t planned events. They’re unhurried conversations, shared meals, laughter, and prayer. When we choose to be present with others, we reflect the heart of a God who gathers His people.

Application

Consider the relationships God has placed in your life.

Ask yourself:

  • Who do I need to be more present with this season?
  • Is there someone I should invite into a moment of connection — a meal, a conversation, or church this Christmas?

Pray for boldness to invite. Pray for open doors. Pray that moments shared with others would point hearts toward Jesus.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for creating us for relationship. Help me slow down and truly enjoy the people You’ve placed in my life. Give me a heart that welcomes others and creates space for connection. Use the moments I share with others to reflect Your love and draw people closer to You. Amen.
