Scripture

Matthew 25:35–40

“For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.”

Reflection

Jesus-centered Christmas moments never end with us. When we experience a moment with God and are encouraged through moments with others, we are then compelled to help others experience those moments too.

Serving is never wasted. What may feel small or unnoticed is deeply significant to Jesus. When we serve others with love, patience, and joy, we are serving Him.

This Christmas season brings unique opportunities. People are more open. Hearts are more tender. Invitations are more likely to be accepted. Our call is not only to invite people to come, but to be ready when they do — ready to serve, welcome, and love well.

God sees every act of obedience. He doesn’t forget the work done in His name.

Application

Return again to your Wish List prayer names.

Ask yourself:

  • How can I help create a meaningful moment for someone on this list?
  • Where can I serve — at church, in my neighborhood, or within my family?

Pray not only for people to come, but for your own willingness to serve when they arrive. Ask God to use your hands, time, and heart to reflect His love.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the privilege of serving in Your name. Help me make moments that point people to Jesus. Give me a servant’s heart, open eyes, and a joyful spirit. As I pray, invite, and serve, may others experience the love and hope found only in You. Amen.
