Scripture:
Philippians 3:12 – “Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.”
Devotional Thought:
Think about the apps on your phone. You may have dozens “subscribed,” but how many do you actually open, use, or engage with? In the same way, some of us are “subscribed” to Jesus—we believe, we say we follow Him—but we rarely consume His Word or engage in sharing Him with others.
Paul reminds us that faith is not passive. It’s not a box we check once. It’s pressing on, making every effort to take hold of Christ. Spiritual notifications flow from consistent engagement—reading Scripture, praying, serving, and living in community.
The danger is being “subscribed but not consuming” or “consuming but not sharing.” Faith that isn’t fed will wither. Faith that isn’t lived out won’t grow. To truly receive spiritual notifications, we must actively engage with the Good News and participate in God’s mission.
Reflection Questions:
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I don’t want to just believe in You from a distance. Help me press on, to take hold of the life You’ve called me to. Teach me to consume Your Word daily and to share Your love boldly. Amen.
Daily Application:
Choose one way to engage beyond belief today—share a Scripture with a friend, pray for someone in need, or encourage another believer. Don’t just subscribe to the Good News—live it out.
