Scripture: “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect…” — 1 Peter 3:15
Devotional Thought:
We’ve spent the week looking at signs — fulfilled prophecies, historical and archaeological evidence, and eyewitness testimony. But today we come to what might be the most powerful sign of all:
Your story.
Your personal testimony — what Jesus has done in your life — may not have Roman dates stamped on it or prophetic scrolls tied to it, but it’s real. It’s yours. And no one can argue with it.
Sunday’s message reminded us that you don’t need to have a wild, dramatic transformation to have a powerful testimony.
Maybe your story is one of quiet faithfulness, of God’s grace sustaining you through broken relationships, deep loss, or prolonged doubt. Maybe He protected you from things you’ll never even know. Maybe He’s still writing your story, and you’re learning to trust Him day by day.
But here’s the truth: transformation is always miraculous. Whether Jesus saved you from rock bottom or kept you from ever getting there, the fact that you belong to Him is a sign that shines.
And for someone wrestling with belief, your honest, humble story may be the first glimpse of the Gospel they ever see.
Reflect:
Action Step:
Write out a short version of your testimony — two or three paragraphs. Keep it simple and honest. Include:
You don’t have to memorize it or perform it. Just practice telling it in your own words — like you would over coffee with a friend who needs hope.
Prayer:
God, thank You for changing my life. Thank You for being real, personal, and present. Help me never underestimate the power of my story. Give me boldness to speak, compassion to listen, and readiness to share the hope I’ve found in You. Use my story as a signpost that points others to salvation in Jesus. Amen.
