Scripture

Psalm 90:12

“Teach us to number our days carefully so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts.”

Reflection

Christmas is filled with moments. Some are planned. Some surprise us. Some pass quickly, while others stay with us for a lifetime.

We decorate, cook, gather, sing, shop, and celebrate. These traditions matter because they create space for connection. But the most meaningful Christmas moments are not accidental. They are intentional. They are rooted in Jesus.

At the center of Christmas is not an event, but a moment that changed history — God stepping into the world through His Son. Every meaningful Christmas moment flows from that truth.

As followers of Jesus, we’re invited to slow down enough to recognize what truly matters. Not just filling the calendar, but creating moments where God’s love can be seen, felt, and shared.

Application

Today, take a moment to reflect on your prayer wish list. Think about the names you’ve written down.

Ask yourself:

  • What moments might God want to use to reach these people?
  • Where can I be more present instead of rushed?
  • How can I make room for moments that point to Jesus?

Pray for opportunities this Christmas season. Pray for boldness to invite. Pray that God would use ordinary moments to do extraordinary work.

Prayer

Lord, help me slow down and recognize the moments that truly matter. Shape my heart to value what You value. As I pray for the names on my wish list, open doors for meaningful conversations and moments that reflect Your love. Give me wisdom, courage, and a willing heart this Christmas season. Amen.
