REMINDER #15 – GOD WILL USE WHAT’S IN YOUR HAND

Read Scripture: Exodus 4:1–4; 17:8–13

(God asks Moses, “What is that in your hand?”—a staff. What was once an ordinary shepherd’s tool becomes an instrument of God’s power. That same staff is later used to confront Pharaoh, bring victory in battle, and provide for God’s people.)

Reality: God doesn’t need something new from you—He will use what He has already placed in your hand. Moses once acted in his own strength and brought death. Now, through surrender, God uses what’s in his hand to bring life, freedom, and provision. The difference wasn’t the object—it was who was in control. When you place what you have in God’s hands, He can use it in ways you never could on your own.

Response:

  • What has God already placed in your hand right now?

  • Are you trying to control it—or surrender it to Him?

  • How might God want to use what you already have for His purpose?

Reaction:

Identify what’s already in your hand—your influence, skills, responsibilities.

Surrender it fully to God. Stop waiting for something more—start using what you have.

Trust God to multiply what you place in His hands.

Reinforcement: 2 Corinthians 12:9 – “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.”

GOD’S POWER WORKS BEST THROUGH WHAT YOU SURRENDER—NOT WHAT YOU CONTROL.

2x2 Check:

Tell your 2x2 what’s in your hand—and how you’re choosing to surrender it to God.
