REMINDER #25 – YOU ARE NOT MEANT TO STAY IN THE WILDERNESS

Read Scripture: Mark 1:14–15; John 16:33

(Jesus comes out of the wilderness proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom. He later declares that though we will face trouble in this world, He has overcome it.)

Reality: The wilderness is real—but it is not your final destination. Jesus didn’t just endure the wilderness—He overcame it. And then He went on to do what we could never do on our own: defeat sin, carry the cross, and walk out of the grave. The victory He won is not just His—it’s available to you. You don’t have to stay stuck in cycles of sin, fear, control, or wandering. Through Jesus, you are forgiven, restored, and led forward. The wilderness may shape you—but it does not define you. In Christ, there is a way out.

Response:

  • Where do you feel stuck right now—sin, fear, pain, or confusion?

  • Have you been trying to overcome it in your own strength?

  • What would it look like to fully surrender that area to Jesus?

Reaction:

Stop trying to overcome on your own. Surrender what you’ve been holding onto—sin, control, fear. Turn toward Jesus in repentance and trust. Walk forward in the freedom He provides.

Reinforcement: John 16:33 – “Take heart! I have overcome the world.”

JESUS ALREADY WON THE VICTORY—WALK IN IT.

2x2 Check:

Tell your 2x2 where you feel stuck—and choose to surrender it to Jesus and move forward.
