REMINDER #7 – TRUST WHAT GOD SAID OVER WHAT YOU SEE
Read Scripture: Genesis 15:1, 5–6
(God tells Abram not to be afraid and promises that his offspring will be as numerous as the stars. Abram has no child, no evidence, yet he believes God—and it is credited to him as righteousness.)
Reality: Faith is proven when what you see doesn’t match what God said. Abram stood under a sky full of stars with empty hands and an unanswered promise. Nothing in his circumstances confirmed what God declared. But he chose to trust God’s word over his reality. That’s the tension of the wilderness—what God has spoken and what you currently see often don’t align. Faith chooses to believe anyway.
Response:
Where does your current reality not match what you believe God has said?
What are you allowing to shape your belief—your circumstances or God’s promises?
Where are you tempted to doubt because you don’t see results yet?
Reaction:
Go back to what God has already said—don’t chase new answers.
Write down one promise or truth from His Word. Speak it out loud when doubt rises.
Refuse to let what you see override what God said.
Reinforcement: 2 Corinthians 5:7 – “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
FAITH ISN’T BASED ON WHAT YOU SEE—IT’S ANCHORED IN WHAT GOD SAID.
2x2 Check:
Share with your 2x2 one promise you’re choosing to believe—even if you don’t see it yet.
