Scripture:
Genesis 44:33
"Now please let your servant remain here as my lord’s slave, in place of the boy. Let him go back with his brothers."
Devotional:
What a transformation.
Judah—the brother who once sold Joseph into slavery—is now offering himself as a slave to save Benjamin.
He’s no longer driven by selfishness. He’s led by sacrifice.
Real repentance isn’t just feeling bad about what we did.
It’s choosing to do differently when we get a second chance.
Judah couldn’t undo the betrayal of Joseph. But he could protect Benjamin. And he did.
You can’t rewrite the past.
You can’t unsay the word, undo the action, or unbreak the heart.
But you can choose what you do next.
You can live sacrificially instead of selfishly.
You can protect instead of harm.
You can offer restoration instead of repeating old mistakes.
That’s real repentance—not just regret, but redemption in action.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for giving me more than second chances—you give new life. Help me choose sacrifice over selfishness today. Teach me to lay down my pride, my rights, my past. Help me love others the way You loved me—selflessly and fully. In Your name, Amen.
