HOLY IN SPIRIT

John 12:27–28 - “Now My soul is troubled. What should I say—Father, save Me from this hour? But that is why I came to this hour. Father, glorify Your name!” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again!”

John 11:4 - “This sickness will not end in death but is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

Slow Read (Trouble & Glory)

Read John 12:27–28 three times, slowly.

First reading: Notice Jesus’ honesty—“My soul is troubled.”

Second reading: Notice His choice—not escape, but obedience.

Third reading: Sit with this phrase: “Father, glorify Your name.”

Remain silent for one full minute. Let surrender form.

Heart Questions

Reflection

Where do I want relief more than I want God’s glory?

What situation in my life feels troubling right now?

Could God be glorified not by removing it—but by sustaining me through it?

Let the Spirit steady you.

Spiritual Insight

Jesus does not pretend the cross is easy. He does not deny trouble. He does not minimize pain. He acknowledges it—and yields anyway. Glory is not the absence of suffering. It is obedience in the middle of it. The Father had already been glorified through miracles, through teaching, through resurrection power. But He would be glorified again through the cross, through the grave, through ascension. Glory follows yielding.

Prayer

Father, You see what troubles my soul. You know what I would prefer to escape. But today, I pray the prayer of Jesus: not remove it—but glorify Your name through it. If obedience costs me comfort, let Your glory outweigh my fear. I yield not because it is easy—but because You are worthy. Amen.

WHOLE IN MIND — Name the Trouble

Take 2–3 minutes and ask:

“What situation am I asking God to remove instead of redeem?”

Clarity leads to surrender.

HEALTHY IN BODY — The Rhythm Reset

Today is about examining your physical rhythms, not just isolated habits.

Ask: “Does my daily rhythm reflect surrender—or self-preservation?”

Look honestly at:

Examine

Your morning routine

Your rest patterns

Your evening wind-down

Your margin (or lack of it)

Your pace of work

Now choose one rhythm to reset for today.

Examples:

Reset Options

Begin the day on your knees before touching your phone

End the day in Scripture instead of screens

Take a 10-minute midday pause to breathe and pray

Eat one meal slowly, with gratitude

Go to bed at a disciplined time instead of scrolling

This is not about productivity. It’s about posture. Surrender is not a moment. It is a rhythm. Today, your body practices living like it belongs to God. As you implement the reset, say: “My time is Yours.” Small rhythms reshape long-term yielding.

Closing Posture

Yielding does not deny trouble. It places glory above it. The seed must fall. The Son was lifted up. And through surrender—God was glorified.
