Scripture:

2 Peter 3:15 – “Regard the patience of our Lord as salvation…”

Devotional Thought:

Of all the signs we’ve talked about—fulfilled prophecy, miracles, eyewitness testimony—there’s one that often gets overlooked: God’s patience.

It is a sign.

A sign of His love.

A sign of His mercy.

A sign of His desire to save—not destroy.

We’re tempted to see patience as passivity. But Scripture shows us patience is power. It’s restraint. It’s intentional.

Every moment God waits, He’s making space for someone to come home.

And now He’s calling us to do the same.

To show patience in our relationships.

To show patience with the not-yet-believers in our lives.

To show patience as we wait, knowing He will return—when the time is right.

If patience is a sign of God’s heart, then patience should be a mark on ours too.

Reflection Questions:

  1. How have you seen God’s patience shape your own life?
  2. What relationship or situation is God asking you to approach with patience today?
  3. How can you reflect God's patience in the way you live and speak?

Prayer:

Father, thank You for waiting on me. For showing me grace when I didn’t deserve it. For loving me when I was lost. Help me reflect that same heart to the world. Make me patient, merciful, and steady. Let my life be a sign of Your salvation to others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
