Devotional Day 3: Reassessing Wrong Aspirations

Introduction:
Welcome to Day 3 of our devotional series. Today, let's focus on reassessing our aspirations and whether they align with God's desires.

Scripture:
Acts 9:1-2 - "He went to the high priest and requested letters from him to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any men or women who belonged to the Way, he might bring them as prisoners to Jerusalem."

Main Point:
Examine your aspirations. Are they in line with God's purposes? Saul aspired to imprison those following the Way. Reflect on your own aspirations and whether they lead you closer to or farther from God.

Quote from the Sermon:
"Jesus redirects what Saul aspired to accomplish. If we aren't going God's way, we are going the wrong way."

Devotional Reflection:
Consider Saul's misguided aspirations and how they changed after encountering Jesus. Examine your own aspirations and pray for clarity on whether they align with God's plan.

Challenge:
Read Acts 9:1-2 again. Spend time in prayer, seeking God's guidance on your aspirations. Ask Him to redirect your goals to be in line with His purposes.

Closing Prayer:
Dear Lord, reveal to us any aspirations that are contrary to Your plan. Redirect our desires to align with Your will, just as You did for Saul. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
