HOLY IN SPIRIT

John 12:23–24 - Jesus replied to them, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. I assure you: Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains by itself. But if it dies, it produces much fruit.”

John 12:25 -
“The one who loves his life will lose it, and the one who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.”

Slow Read (Seed & Glory)

Read John 12:23–24 three times, slowly.

First reading: Notice the connection between glory and death.

Second reading: Notice what happens if the seed refuses to die.

Third reading: Sit with this phrase: “If it dies, it produces much fruit.”

Remain silent for one full minute. Let the tension sit.

Heart Questions

Reflection

What part of my life am I trying to preserve instead of surrender?

Where do I fear loss more than I desire fruit?

Do I truly believe that yielding leads to glory—not ruin?

Let the Spirit surface resistance gently.

Spiritual Insight
The crowd came saying: “We want to see Jesus.” Jesus answered: “You will see the Son of Man glorified.” But glory would not come through applause. It would come through death. A seed that refuses to fall remains alone. A life that refuses surrender remains unchanged. Jesus is not glorified by our comfort. He is glorified by our yielding. Death is not the end of fruit. It is the beginning of it.

Prayer
Father, I confess that I want glory without surrender, fruit without dying, honor without yielding. But today I see the pattern of Jesus. The seed must fall. Show me what I am clinging to. Give me courage to release what must be planted. Trust that what dies in You will rise producing fruit. Glorify Your name through my yielding. Amen.

WHOLE IN MIND — Name the Seed

Take 2–3 minutes and answer honestly:
What am I holding onto that God may be asking me to surrender?”

Clarity precedes courage.

HEALTHY IN BODY — The Surrender Audit
Today is about awareness. Set aside 10–15 quiet minutes.

Ask yourself honestly:
“What physical patterns in my life make surrender to God harder?

Consider

Sleep habits

Over stimulation (constant noise, podcasts, TV)

Screen/phone use

Avoiding silence

Work schedule

Busyness without margin

Lack of Sabbath

Exercise neglect or obsession

Emotional eating

Write down 1–2 physical habits that:

Habits That…

Protect comfort

Crowd out prayer

Feed control

Prevent stillness

Numb discomfort

Do not judge them. Just name them. Then choose one small physical adjustment to begin this week.

Examples:

Small Adjustments

Put your phone in another room during prayer

Go to bed 30 minutes earlier

Remove one nightly distraction

Take a silent 10-minute walk

Eat one meal without screens

End by saying: “Father, I yield this area to You.”

Small physical shifts open deeper spiritual space.

Closing Posture

The path of glory begins in the soil. What refuses to fall cannot grow. What yields will bear fruit.
