Genesis 37:26–27- “26 Then Judah said to his brothers, “What do we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood? 27 Come, let’s sell him to the Ishmaelites and not lay a hand on him, for he is our brother, our own flesh,” and they agreed. 28 When Midianite traders passed by, his brothers pulled Joseph out of the pit and sold him for 20 pieces of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took Joseph to Egypt.

Genesis 43:8–9: 8 Then Judah said to his father Israel, “Send the boy with me. We will be on our way so that we may live and not die—neither we, nor you, nor our children. 9 I will be responsible for him. You can hold me personally accountable! If I do not bring him back to you and set him before you, I will be guilty before you forever.
Genesis 44:32-34 - 32 Your servant became accountable to my father for the boy, saying, ‘If I do not return him to you, I will always bear the guilt for sinning against you, my father.’ 33 Now please let your servant remain here as my lord’s slave, in place of the boy. Let him go back with his brothers. 34 For how can I go back to my father without the boy? I could not bear to see the grief that would overwhelm my father.”
BREAKING POINTS CAUSED BY US CAN BE REDEEMED THROUGH OUR HUMILITY AND REPENTANCE.
Genesis 49:8-10 - Judah, your brothers will praise you. Your hand will be on the necks of your enemies; your father’s sons will bow down to you. 9 Judah is a young lion— my son, you return from the kill. He crouches; he lies down like a lion or a lioness—who dares to rouse him? 10 The scepter will not depart from Judah or the staff from between his feet until He whose right it is comes and the obedience of the peoples belongs to Him.
JESUS DIDN’T COME FROM A PERFECT LINEAGE—HE CAME TO REDEEM IT.
JESUS CAN'T BURY THE SIN WE CONTINUE TO CARRY.
GOD CAN REDEEM YOUR PAST CHOICES BUT YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO TURN FROM MAKING THOSE SAME CHOICES TODAY.
