Sermon Notes:

IT'S CALL WAYFINDING… KNOWING WHERE YOU ARE, BY KNOWING WHERE YOU'VE BEEN.
–MAUI, MOANA

WAYFINDING - KNOWING WHERE YOU'RE GOING BY REMEMBERING WHAT GOD'S DONE.

Acts 2:43 - Then fear came over everyone, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles.

LOOK BACK TO REMEMBER (GOD) & PRESS FORWARD TO FOLLOW (GOD).

John 20:19 - In the evening of that first day of the week, the disciples were gathered together with the doors locked because of their fear of the Jews.

John 21:3 - Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing”… and that night they caught nothing.

Acts 6:8-12 - Stephen, full of grace and power, was performing great wonders and signs among the people. 9 Then some from what is called the Freedmen’s Synagogue, came forward and disputed with Stephen. 10 But they were unable to stand up against his wisdom and the Spirit by whom he was speaking. 11 Then they persuaded some men to say, “We heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God!” 12 They stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes; so they came, dragged him off, and took him to the Sanhedrin.

Acts 7:51,54-56 - “You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are always resisting the Holy Spirit; as your ancestors did, so do you. 54 When they heard these things, they were enraged in their hearts and gnashed their teeth at him. 55 But Stephen, filled by the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven. He saw God’s glory, with Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and he said, 56 “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

IF WE WANT TO GET UNSTUCK, WE NEED THE WAYFINDER TO SHOW UP.

Matthew 11:28-30 - “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

WHILE STRANDED, REMEMBER JESUS’ PROMISE & THAT WE ARE SUPPORTED BY JESUS' PEOPLE.

1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your care on Him, because He cares about you.
