BIBLE STUDY PARTICIPANT GUIDE
Sermon Summary
This week we launched our new series through the book of James called 5 Marks. James wrote to believers who professed faith in Jesus but were struggling to live out that faith faithfully. Many of the issues they faced; persecution, division, worldliness, favoritism, and uncontrolled speech are still present in the Church today. James repeatedly calls believers to become spiritually mature: not sinless, but fully developed followers of Jesus who increasingly reflect the character of Christ. God has not left us alone in this process. He has given us His Word, His Son, His Spirit, and His Church to help us mature in our faith. Spiritual maturity requires change, challenge, discomfort, and endurance, but through Christ and His people, we are not alone in the journey.

Closing Thought
Spiritual maturity doesn't happen overnight, and it doesn't happen by accident. It requires endurance, obedience, and a daily pursuit of Jesus.
This weeks memory verse:
James 1:4: "Endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing."
