Genesis 1:27-28 - 27 So God created man in His own image; He created him in the image of God; He created them male and female. 28 God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it.
Established Roles & Blessed Commission:
Serve, Guard, Help and Complement Spouse, Obey God, and be Fruitful.
Many marriages CAN produce the fruit of a womb, Every God-centered marriage WILL produce the fruit of the Spirit.
Genesis 24:67 - And Isaac brought {Rebekah} into the tent of his mother Sarah and took {her} to be his wife. Isaac loved her, and he was comforted after his mother’s death.
Genesis 25:20-23 - 20 Isaac was 40 years old when he took as his wife Rebekah… 21 Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife because she was childless. The Lord heard his prayer, and his wife Rebekah conceived. 22 But the children inside her struggled with each other, and she said, “Why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the Lord. 23 And the Lord said to her: Two nations are in your womb; two people will come from you and be separated. One people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger.
Genesis 25:27-28 - When the boys grew up, Esau became an expert hunter, an outdoorsman, but Jacob was a quiet man who stayed at home. 28 Isaac loved Esau because he had a taste for wild game, but Rebekah loved Jacob.
Genesis 27:8-10 - 8 Now obey every order I give you, my son. 9 Go to the flock and bring me two choice young goats, and I will make them into a delicious meal for your father—the kind he loves. 10 Then take it to your father to eat so that he may bless you before he dies.”
Genesis 27:12-13 - 12 "Suppose my father touches me. Then I will be revealed to him as a deceiver and bring a curse rather than a blessing on myself.” 13 His mother said to him, “Your curse be on me, my son. Just obey me and go get them for me.”
Genesis 27:35,41 - 35 But he replied, “Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”
41 Esau held a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing his father had given him. And Esau determined in his heart: “The days of mourning for my father are approaching; then I will kill my brother Jacob.”
Genesis 27:42-44 - 42 “Listen, your brother Esau is consoling himself by planning to kill you. 43 So now, my son, listen to me. Flee at once to my brother Laban in Haran, 44 and stay with him for a few days until your brother’s anger subsides...
Psalm 127:3-5 - 3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. 5 Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!
Our individual & marital sins can turn our children into piercing burdens instead of fruitful blessings.
Mark 10:13-16 - Some people were bringing little children to Him so He might touch them, but His disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw it, He was indignant and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me… 16 After taking them in His arms, He laid His hands on them and blessed them.
Philippians 2:3-5,8 - 3 in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. 4 Everyone should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus.
8 He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death— even to death on a cross.
Do not to let your children to come BETWEEN you and God or you and your spouse.
