Scripture:

Colossians 3:10, 12–14 – “You are being renewed in knowledge according to the image of your Creator. Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience… Above all, put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.”

Devotional Thought:

When God restores His image in us, He doesn’t just polish the outside — He transforms the inside.

He doesn’t simply clean the mirror; He changes what it reflects.

Through Jesus, the fractured image of humanity is made whole again.

The cracks of sin are sealed by grace, and the distortions of pride and selfishness are corrected by love.

When the Spirit renews us, we no longer live to project an image — we live to reflect one.

That’s what it means to be an image bearer:

To show the world what God looks like through your words, actions, and character.

To display His compassion where others show cruelty,

His humility where others boast,

His forgiveness where others hold grudges,

and His love where others live in fear or hate.

When the image of God is restored in you, your influence begins to change — not because you’re louder, but because you’re lighter.

People are drawn to the divine light in you because it exposes truth and extends grace at the same time.

Influence reclaimed is not about gaining followers — it’s about guiding them toward Jesus.

It’s not about controlling others — it’s about serving them.

It’s not about fame — it’s about faithfulness.

You are a reflection of the Creator, not a replica of culture.

You were made to bear His image and share His light in a dark and desperate world.

When you reclaim your image in Christ, you reclaim your influence for His Kingdom.

And when your influence points others to Him, you fulfill your purpose as a true image bearer — redeemed, renewed, and radiant.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Does my life reflect the image of Christ or the image of culture?
  2. How can I use my influence — online and offline — to reflect God’s love and truth?
  3. What does reclaiming my influence for God look like in my daily habits, words, and relationships?

Prayer:

Father, thank You for restoring Your image in me through Jesus.

Forgive me for the times I’ve reflected the world instead of Your Word.

Renew my heart and mind today.

Let my life reflect Your compassion, humility, and love.

May every influence I have point others to You — the true source of light, truth, and transformation.

Use me as Your image bearer to bring hope and healing to the world around me. Amen.

Daily Practice:

Before posting, sharing, or speaking today, pause and ask:

Will this reflect the image of God or the image of culture?

Let that question guide your digital activity, your interactions, and your responses.

Then, take a few minutes tonight to thank God for the areas where His image is being restored in your life — and ask Him to continue renewing you daily.
