To keep ourselves in the love of God, as Jude instructs, is to persistently remember and reciprocate the love He has shown us through Jesus Christ. This instruction isn't about securing our salvation—Jesus has already accomplished that—but about maintaining a fervent love for God amidst life's trials and temptations.

Keeping in the love of God means prioritizing our relationship with Him above all else. It's a call to passionate pursuit, willing submission, and placing Him at the center of everything we do. As Jesus said in John 15:10, our adherence to His commands keeps us in His love, signifying a life committed to sanctification.

Scripture
John 15:9-10 - "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love."
