Scripture: “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16
Devotional Thought:
If we’re going to talk about signs — about the proof that Jesus is who He says He is — we have to start with the Bible. The Bible isn’t just a book of inspiration. It’s a record of fulfilled prophecy. It’s the unfolding story of a Savior who didn’t just show up… He was promised, anticipated, and described in detail centuries before His arrival.
Sunday’s message reminded us that we need to know and share biblical signs — the ones that point to Jesus from Genesis to Revelation.
Could you summarize the Old Testament story for someone?
Could you walk them through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus?
Too often we say, “I believe the Bible,” but we’re not familiar with what’s in it. That’s why so many people outside the Church dismiss it — they don’t know what it really says, and unfortunately, many Christians don’t either.
But Scripture is powerful. It’s historically anchored. It’s prophetically rich. And it’s spiritually alive.
From Isaiah 7 foretelling a virgin birth… to Micah 5 naming Bethlehem as the Messiah’s birthplace… to Psalm 22 describing crucifixion long before Rome existed — the Bible calls its shot over and over again.
Reflect:
Action Step:
Choose one of these fulfilled prophecies and read both the Old Testament prophecy and the New Testament fulfillment:
Write down how these connect. Keep it in your phone or journal — something you can reference when someone asks why you believe.
Prayer:
God, thank You for a Word that’s alive and trustworthy. Help me not to treat the Bible as optional background noise, but as a clear and shining signpost pointing straight to Jesus. Help me grow in knowledge — not to win arguments, but to win hearts. Amen.
