Scripture:
“I have spoken of many things from the beginning; from before it happened I made them known, and now I bring it to pass.” — Isaiah 48:5 (paraphrase for reflection)
Devotional Thought:
One of the most powerful parts of Sunday’s message was this truth:
"Facts matter when faith is missing."
Our belief in Jesus isn’t based on “I just feel it.” It’s rooted in real places, real events, and real people. And thanks to history and archaeology, we’re seeing more and more confirmation of what Scripture said all along.
Jesus wasn’t a myth. He lived. He taught. He was crucified. He was buried. And — as even hostile sources admit — people believed He rose again.
Historical signs matter, especially to people who don’t yet trust the Bible as God’s Word.
That’s why Sunday’s sermon highlighted:
You don’t have to be a scholar to share your faith, but you can start building a simple understanding of how history supports the Bible — and how facts can spark faith.
Reflect:
Action Step:
Look up one of the names or places mentioned Sunday:
Take 10 minutes today to read about one of them. Jot down a fact that encourages your faith or prepares you to talk to someone else who needs more than just belief — they’re looking for truth backed by evidence.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that You work in ways that leave traces — through fulfilled prophecy, historical evidence, and even archaeology. I pray for boldness to learn and for clarity when I speak. Use the facts to stir up faith in others, and remind me that truth never has to be afraid of investigation. Amen.
