REMINDER #8 – GOD’S PROMISES ARE BIGGER THAN YOUR TIMELINE
Read Scripture: Genesis 17:1–2, 6, 15–19
(God reaffirms His covenant to Abram at 99 years old, promising a son through Sarah and a future nation. Decades after the initial promise, God declares He will still fulfill it.)
Reality: God’s promises are not limited by your timeline. Abram was called years earlier, believed God’s word, and still had no child. Waiting didn’t mean God was absent—it meant God was working beyond what Abram could see. The wilderness often stretches the gap between promise and fulfillment. What feels delayed to you is not delayed to God. His timing is intentional, not accidental.
Response:
Where are you waiting on something God has promised or stirred in you?
How has the waiting affected your trust in Him?
Are you growing impatient—or remaining faithful in the process?
Reaction:
Stop measuring God’s faithfulness by your timeline. Surrender your expectations of “when.” Stay faithful in what God has already asked you to do. Trust that delay is not denial—God is still working.
Reinforcement: Numbers 23:19 – “God is not a man, that He might lie… Does He speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?”
IF GOD SAID IT, HE WILL DO IT—TRUST HIS TIMING.
2x2 Check:
Tell your 2x2 where you are waiting on God—and choose to trust His timing instead of rushing ahead.
